Kirsten Syrett brings an adventurous spirit, deep local expertise, and a hands-on investment background to every real estate engagement.

Kirsten’s path to real estate began in the skies. As a NYC-based flight attendant for Delta Air Lines, she embraced global travel while always keeping a home base in the city she loved. After negotiating a buyout on her rent-stabilized East Village apartment and purchasing her first Brooklyn co-op, she discovered both a passion and a knack for real estate.

She launched her career in 2002 at a boutique brokerage in Boerum Hill, helping townhouse owners secure long-term tenants. Seeing the flexibility and wealth-building potential of multifamily homes, she expanded her focus to help buyers invest in similar properties. Over the years, she’s renovated two of her own—a historic townhouse in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and a three-family in Cobble Hill—giving her firsthand insight she shares with clients.

Known for clear guidance and exceptional service, Kirsten expertly supports clients through every stage of the buying and selling process. She joined Compass in 2017 and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, as well as a Certified Residential Specialist and Negotiation Expert.

Originally from England - up North - Kirsten moved to the U.S. at twelve, living in Indiana, Maryland, and Georgia before making New York home in the early ’90s. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, where they raised two children. True to her adventurous roots, the family’s favorite vacations always involve a good hike—preferably a loop.
